SAFETY AND VISIBILITY
To swim safely in open water, it is important that you think about your safety. That is why the Tethys 2.0 is equipped with bright colors and a rescue whistle. If you do not have the opportunity to swim with someone or in a group, we always recommend using a swimming buoy. This makes you clearly visible to other water sports enthusiasts who are also on or in the water at the same time.

100% DOUBLE-WALL NYLON
Quality is our priority, which is why our swimming buoys are made of robust, high-quality and wear-resistant nylon. The nylon material ensures that the swimming buoy can handle rough conditions and intensive use without any difficulty. This guarantees a long lifespan! Please note: unlike swimming buoys from other brands, our swimming buoy is not made of PVC. This makes the swimming buoy a lot stronger and prevents leaks and tears.

TWO COMPARTMENTS AND VALVES
Unlike other swimming buoys, the swimming buoy consists of two compartments. These are the air chambers that ultimately keep the swimming buoy afloat. These compartments can be individually inflated with a durable one-way valve. The two valves have a double closure to prevent air leakage and ensure that you can easily inflate the swimming buoy with your mouth.

DETACHABLE SHOULDER STRAPS
The sturdy and comfortable shoulder straps have thick padding which ensures comfortable carrying. This means you can also use the swimming buoy as a backpack and take your wetsuit and swimming equipment with you. This is very easy when you go to the open water by bike or on foot, for example. When swimming, the idea is of course to unclip the shoulder straps so that it becomes a normal swimming buoy. You can store the shoulder straps in the swimming buoy if necessary. This swimming buoy is also often used by swim runners (SwimRun), as this swimming buoy is ideal to carry on your back while running.

DRYBAG
This is the space between the two compartments. In the drybag compartment it is also possible to store your personal belongings and take them with you while swimming. The roll-up closure at the top ensures that your belongings stay dry. Please note: if the closure is properly rolled up, water cannot in principle enter the dry bag. But we always recommend using a waterproof phone case or hip bag for your phone (or other valuables). Safety first!

CRAMP
Another important function - in addition to safety and visibility - is in a situation where you get cramps, are tired or can no longer swim any further. Then you can hang on the swimming buoy to catch your breath or rest for a while. Then you can swim further or wait for help from the side who can see exactly where you are thanks to the bright color of the buoy.

RESCUE WHISTLE
The rescue whistle is ingeniously incorporated into the click closure at the top. Because this whistle is incorporated in this click system, you can never lose it. In one of the images you can see exactly where the whistle is located.

HANDLE
There is a sturdy handle on the top of the swimming buoy. You can easily hold, lift or carry the swimming buoy here. And even with (heavy) items in the swimming buoy, you can hold the swimming buoy by the handle without any problem.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE OF THE SWIM BUOY
- Make sure the swim buoy is completely empty
- Unclip the shoulder straps and remove them from the swimming buoy (store them in the dry bag if necessary)
- Fill the dry bag with your personal belongings
- Roll the top down to the "foldable part"
- Clip the two ends together at the top
- Use the mouthpiece to first inflate the bottom compartment (this will place your personal items on the air chamber)
- Then inflate the top compartment with the other mouthpiece
- Attach the extension of the waist strap to the clip at the end of the swimming buoy

Tip: store the swimming buoy in a dry room and avoid sharp objects. For extra safety/security, place electronic items and valuables in a waterproof phone case or waist bag and then into the dry bag.

Warning: This swimming buoy is NOT a lifesaving device. Open water swimming is a dangerous sport. Never swim alone, always swim with a buddy or swim with a group.
