Trisuits men
A good trisuit is important! In addition to specific clothing and materials for swimming, cycling and running, you will wear the trisuit throughout the entire competition. It has to be right from start to finish through all three of the disciplines. While swimming, it should fit tightly yet offer enough freedom of movement to move along with each swim stroke. While biking you want it to dry quickly, be comfortable and possibly give aerodynamic advantage. You don't want any rubbing or chafing spots and have enough breathable fabric during the run. Consider all factors and choose the one that suits you best!

With sleeves or without sleeves?
Nowadays you have a very wide range of trisuits. With a sleeveless trisuit you are always in the right place, you have the maximum freedom of movement in the three disciplines and are certain that it is allowed during all triathlon races. If you choose a trisuit with sleeves this also offers some advantages. It's usually more aerodynamic, it protects your shoulders better from the sun in warmer conditions and it just looks fast.
Front or rear zipper?
It doesn't stop at choosing a trisuit with or without sleeves, you can also choose whether you like the zipper on the front or the back. Again, there are some advantages and disadvantages. Do you really go for the fastest time in a non wetsuit swim and the race is no longer than a quarter triathlon. In these conditions, a trisuit with a back zipper can offer an advantage. If the race distance is longer and you are looking for more comfort or if you need a visit the toilet during such a long race, then you should definitely opt for a front zipper. If you want to cool off during the race, it's also easy to open the front zipper and cool off with water or sponges.
Storage on the back:
In addition to swimming, cycling and walking, you also have to think about your energy intake. Many athletes do this with gels and sports drinks. Make sure you know in advance how many gels you have to bring with you and make sure that you can take them with you. A trisuit is usually provided with a few pockets on the back to take your food with you. At the shortest distances you will usually not carry anything, but the longer the distance the more food you need. So test if and how all your sports nutrition can be carried in your trisuit and in your storage box on your bike.
The right chamois:
A chamois in a triathlon suit is not the same as a pair of cycling shorts. The chamois is different according to the distance/length of your race.Every chamois is made for swimming, cycling and running. So it should dry quickly, be water-repellent, provide sufficient comfort when cycling and should certainly not create any rubbing or chafing spots. For longer distances more attention is paid to the comfort of the chamois.
